Just finished the STRIPES board meeting, and there is some important features coming soon, especially under fundraising.
During
the summer months there will be a prediction competition. Pay your £1 and complete the prediction sheet of about 50 questions.
At the end of the season the top three will receive prizes of 50% of the collected monies. During home games we will run
quick quizzes. pay your £1 and answer the 15 or so questions based on soccr trivia and the days oponents etc. All answers
back by half time and pay out to the highest score 50% of proceeds at full time. Now for the biggy. "Cover the pitch with
£1 coins". STRIPES will work out an impression of a football pitch which will be coloured in as fans donate their money. This
will be run by STRIPES but with a specific bank account to collect the money given solely for this scheme. All money raised
will be held by STRIPES, and go specifically towards the new ground. This way, everyone can play a part in saving towards
the new ground. the pitch plan we hope to have in place on the ground to allow fans to see how it develops. Fans who donate
could even have ther name put on the plan. Just watch this space for more details of these schemes during the close season.
STRIPES
membership will remain at £10 over 21's, £5 youth and under 16's £1. In view of the Wolves link with Steve Bull the badge
colour this year will be orange / gold. We are however hping to arrange ameeting with the football club board to see if we
can offer some inducements to your membership fee which could attract new members. Such ideas we have include a draw for a
mascot at a game for the child members, plus a members only draw to win a free match ticket per month and signed football
per month.
Watch this space for developments. The more members in STRIPES the more money available for members to
decide where to spend it and hopefully support future events which in turn raises more money.
Members will soon rceive
details of such a request to provide about £600 from STRIPES funds to purchase much needed equipment as earmarked by the physio.
